Description

In 2012, VAN HALEN released “A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH”, which was his last studio album in 14 years, and embarked on a long-awaited world tour. At that time, the masterpiece recording series that was a real-time report of the shocking tour will be specially reprinted. This time, although it is the beginning of the tour, three delicious works that have gradually warmed up and are in full operation will be released at the same time! The “DIFFERENT LIVE OF TRUTH” series is the latest report that has been delivered with a set of masterpiece sound sources that appeared in the very early days of “A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH TOUR”. This series was created in response to the request of “I want to hear the tour for the latest album as soon as possible!” The theme was “As many performances as possible, as soon as possible.” At the same time, they selected the best ones from the recordings that came out one after another, and boasted a sound quality that was far different from other CD titles. This work is the 6th in a series of such masterpieces of field reports. This work includes three performances: “March 24, 2012: Atlantic City Performance,” “March 26, 2012: Reading Performance,” and “March 28, 2012: Washington D.C. Performance.” This is a luxurious 6-disc set with 2 full recordings of each. The position of the “North American” leg, which was the stage for the entire series, will be explained in the simultaneously released “DIFFERENT LIVE OF TRUTH I?”, but here we will organize the relationship between each work in the series with a more detailed schedule.・January 5th – February 8th: Warm-up (3 performances) [“A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH” released on February 7th] ・February 18th: Louisville performance ← *“I (Disc 1-2)” “II (Disc 1-2)” ・February 20: Auburn Hills performance ← *”I (Disc 3-4)” “II (DVD)” ・February 22: Indianapolis performance ← *”I ( Disc 5-6)”・February 24th: Chicago performance ←※“II (Disc 3-4)”・February 28th + March 1st: New York (2 performances)・March 3rd: Uncasville performance ←※ “III (Disc 1-2)” ・March 5: Philadelphia performance ← * “III (Disc 3-4)” ・March 9: Buffalo performance ← * “IV (Disc 1-2)” ・ 3 March 11th: Boston performance ← *“IV (Disc 3-4)” March 13th: Manchester performance ← *“IV (Disc 5-6)” March 15th: Montreal performance ← *“V (Disc 1-2)” ・March 17: Toronto performance ←※“V (Disc 3-4)” ・March 21: Ottawa performance March 24: Atlantic City performance ←★DISC 1-2★★ March 26: Reading performance ←★Disc 3-4★★March 28: Washington D.C. performance ←★Disc 5-6★・March 30: Pittsburgh performance・April 1: Rosemont Performances: April 10th – June 26th: North America #2 (31 performances) This is VAN HALEN in 2012. The above is a detailed description of each performance of the “North America #1” leg that started immediately after the album was released. This work is a set in charge of the second half, and is a 6-disc set that includes performances 15, 16, and 17 of the 19 performances. This work, which contains three such performances, is a masterpiece that can be said to be the best masterpiece in the series. First of all, the sound is great. This series has carefully selected and set the best sound sources from each performance, but naturally there are differences between performances (although at a high level). However, this work is the best in all three performances. The average is high as if only the best recordings of each set were collected. For the other two titles released at the same time, we explained the type for each performance, but this work is also difficult. Although there are differences in the “balance of sound and core” and “the presence or absence of close voices,” they are generally highly dynamic types. The powerful core approaches, the sound adds depth to its vividness, and it has sufficient stability and luster. Of course, you can’t mistake it for a sound board because you’re breathing in raw enthusiasm. But it’s definitely on the verge of that. If it is a normal standard, each one is a collection of exquisite recordings that will be tour masterpieces. Furthermore, this work is the most delicious set not only in sound but also in show. In order to explain that, let’s summarize the three performances here. Fixed songs (18 songs + α)・Flame Fuse: Runnin’ With The Devil/You Really Got Me/Ice Cream Man/Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love・Legendary Bomber: Somebody Get Me A Doctor/Dance The Night Away/Women In Love/Beautiful Girls・Dark Law: Everybody Wants Some!!・Martial Law: Unchained・Diver Down: (Oh) Pretty Woman・1984: I’ll Wait/Hot For Teacher/Panama/Jump A・Different Kinds of Truth: She’s The Woman/Tattoo/China Town Daily song (song) ・Flame Fuse: Jamie’s Cryin’ (★: March 26th Reading/March 28th Washington) ・Legendary Bomber : Outta Love Again (★: March 24th Atlantic)・Dark Law: Romeo Delight (March 26th Reading only)・Martial Law: Hear About It Later (March 24th Atlantic only)・Diver Down: The Full Bug (★: March 24th Atlantic / March 28th Washington) / Hang ‘Em High (★: March 28th Washington only)・1984: Girl Gone Bad (★: March 26th Reading only)・A・Different Kinds of Truth: Blood And Fire (★: March 26, Reading / March 28, Washington) / The Trouble With Never (★: March 24, Atlantic only) *: “★” mark is official A song that cannot be heard on the live album “TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT”. …and it looks like this. The number of songs in one performance is not different from others, but the breadth when it comes to a set of three performances is amazing. All the songs that have been the highlight of each work in the series are included, and “Jamie’s Cryin'”, which was rarely played on “A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH TOUR”, is also back. This song is valuable because it was not played on the last tour in 2015. And finally, the new song “Blood And Fire” and “Hang ‘Em High” appeared. First of all, “Blood And Fire” is an extremely rare song that is said to have only been played 3-4 times in the “A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH” repertoire. And, while “Hang ‘Em High” was revived for the first time in 30 years since 1982, it was only played twice during the reunion era (the Washington D.C. performance of this work and the Boston performance on March 11th). It is hard to notice the take of the Boston performance because it was also heard in “DIFFERENT LIVE OF TRUTH?”, but this is also extremely rare. You can experience both songs with exquisite sound. Dynamic and rich sound, a passionate performance with the engine reaching its critical point, and extremely rare “Blood And Fire” and “Hang ‘Em High”… Each one of them is one of the best live albums of “A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH TOUR” This is a luxury set. Of course, it would be ideal to run a tour with all three titles released at the same time, but this work is definitely one of them. The most recommended…or rather, it’s a masterpiece that I would say is “absolutely inevitable.” Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ.
