From the US tour after the release of the first album “5150” after Sammy Hagar joined in 1986, three consecutive performances at Detroit and Joe Louis Arena, which started on May 9th, are recorded in full from the high-quality audience source from the original cassette master released by an overseas taper in recent years. First, this tour started on March 27th immediately after the album was released, and the performance in New Haven, Connecticut on August 27th is known as the official live work “LIVE WITHOUT A NET”. Here too, the venue was in a tremendous state of excitement from the opening and “You Really Got Me”. Also worth listening to is the VH version of Sammy’s solo song “Only One Way To Rock”, and furthermore, “Why Can’t This Be Love” with a drum solo, “5150” is also great, and “Best Of Both Worlds” and “Good Enough” in the latter half, followed by Eddie’s guitar solo are also points not to be missed. Eddie’s technical playing was brought to the forefront in “Summer Nights” and “Get Up,” where he played plenty of tapping, and at the end of the show, “I Can’t Drive 55,” selected from Sammy’s solo again, was one of the highlights. The song was powerfully reborn with Alex’s drums and Eddie’s guitar, and the tension exceeded that of the original. The encore was a band jam, followed by “Jump” and “Wild Thing,” and the last song was Zep’s “Rock and Roll.” Although the set was the same for all three shows, you must listen to all of them, including the amazing closing. 1: 1.
