Description
U.K. in 2012, when Terry Poggio returned and the trio miraculously reunited. Introducing the finest original recording set to complete the Japanese performance collection. This work includes three performances. This is a 6-disc set containing the full audience recording of the “June 15th + 16th + 17th 2012: Club Citta Kawasaki” performance. At our store, we have archived the trio’s monumental visit to Japan with numerous masterpieces, and with this work, it is now possible to complete all performances. First, let’s organize the collection by date.・June 14: Kawasaki “NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER NIGHT” ・June 15: Kawasaki ←★This work DISC 1-2★+“NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER NIGHT” ・June 16: Kawasaki ←★This work DISC 3-4★・June 17th: Kawasaki ←★This work DISC 5-6★・June 19th: Osaka “OSAKA 2012”・June 21st: Kawasaki (additional performance) “NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER NIGHT” That’s all , 6 performances in total. So far, we have introduced “NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER NIGHT” and “OSAKA 2012”, but in this work, “June 16th” and “June 17th”, which were not able to be heard even with those two works, appear for the first time. Even if it is the only “June 15th” that overlaps, it is a completely different first public recording from “NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER NIGHT”. Just completing the collection is impressive, but even more so is the sound. This is already an abnormally high quality. That should be it. All three performances included in this work are by the same recording artist, and are actually the same as “OSAKA 2012”. Yes, it is the work of the master of the masters, “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”, who is well known in our store. In fact, the sound of this work is in no way inferior to the two works known for their excellence, “NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER NIGHT” and “OSAKA 2012.” Comparing “June 15th”, which is the only one, “NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER NIGHT” feels more powerful and flashy, but this work is better in terms of neat sound and delicate details. They are completely equal in overall quality. Of course, even though they are the same recording artist, same venue, and same equipment, there are differences in individuality due to differences in position, etc., and even the three performances of this work are each slightly different. “June 16th (DISC 3-4)” has a particularly strong impact. The midrange is even more dense, and the bass has a strong push. Speaking of U.K. in 2012, the combination of Pozio’s virtuosity and Wetton’s crisp bass is the most important, so the mid-bass is especially important. What’s more, it’s not just powerful, it’s clear even the folds of the vibe that makes the venue tremble, and the sense of stability that doesn’t shake at all even at its peak is outstanding. The previous two works were wonderful, but the three performances of this work are also equal or better. What is depicted with such superb sound is the entire story of Kawasaki’s three consecutive performances, including “June 16th and 17th”, which could not be heard until now. This is a good opportunity, so let’s summarize all 6 performances that came to Japan in 2012. Patriotic Four (5 songs)・Alaska/Thirty Years/In The Dead Of Night/By The Light Of Day (★)/Presto Vivace And Reprise Danger Money (6 songs: all songs)・Nothing To Lose (★)/ Rendezvous 6:02/Carrying No Cross/Danger Money/Caesar’s Palace Blues/The Only Thing She Needs Others (2 songs)・Night After Night/As Long As You Want Me Here (★: Replaced with Fallen Angel only on the last day) * Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on the iconic soundboard “DEFINITIVE WILMINGTON 2012”. …and it looks like this. In fact, the five performances from the first day “June 14th” to Osaka “June 19th” are completely the same set. The only difference was the final day “June 21st”, which was also an additional performance, and KING CRIMSON’s famous song “Fallen Angel” was played instead of “As Long As You Want Me Here” (strictly speaking, there was an additional performance of “Fallen Angel”). The playing position of “Nothing To Lose” was also different). In any case, all three performances that can be heard in this work are basic sets. By playing “Nothing To Lose”, which cannot be heard on the trio’s masterpiece soundboard “DEFINITIVE WILMINGTON 2012”, “Danger Money” became a complete song, and “As Long As You Want Me Here” of “NIGHT AFTER NIGHT” It covers all the repertoire that only three people can have. And because it’s three performances in a row, you can enjoy the performances that are getting better day by day. After all, although U.K.’s reunion was groundbreaking, it was not a huge commercial success. The number of performances is also limited, especially the trio reformation with Pogio, which is about 20 performances including the main North American tour. Still, it seems like a master trio that they can master each performance rapidly, and in this work you can fully experience such progress for three consecutive nights. 2012 was a miraculous year in which John Wetton’s solo and ASIA’s visit to Japan were realized, but the key point was the U.K. above all. The trio was reorganized with the globally valuable Pogio, and we were able to fully experience its evolution and true value over 6 performances. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to completely complete such a scene with ultra-high quality sound.
