Description

U2 in the “WAR” era, who made a breakthrough and embarked on world domination with their first headliner tour. The best soundboard album is now available on the highest peak master CD. This work is the first of two simultaneous releases. “December 6, 1982 Hammersmith Palace performance”. This is a stereo soundboard recording. Some people may remember “WAR TOUR” or “HAMMERSMITH PALAIS 1983 2ND NIGHT” when they hear “Hammersmith Palace in the WAR era”, but this work is a completely different performance. In order to explain the situation around there, let’s first look back at the schedule at that time. 1982 (September-October WAR production) December 1-24: Europe #1 (20 shows) ←★Here★ 1983 (February 28 WAR release) February 26-April 3: Europe #2 (29 shows) ←※TIFFANY’S 1983 April 23-June 29: North America (48 shows) ←※Video version of UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY July 2-August 21: Europe #3 (5 shows) November 16-30: Hawaii/Japan (7 shows) This is U2 in the WAR era. The tour has different names before and after the album’s release, with the 1982 edition before the release being called the “PRE-WAR Tour” and the one after the release being called the “WAR Tour”. “WAR TOUR” and “HAMMERSMITH PALAIS 1983 2ND NIGHT” were records of the latter “Europe #2”, but this work is the former. It was the sixth concert of “Europe #1”. This show was broadcast on the radio and has reigned as a standard that has produced many previous issues. This work is also an FM sound board, but it is a top-of-the-line update board that is different from the previous groups in both length and quality. It is a digital version that was rebroadcast in recent years on BBC RADIO 6’s “Dream Ticket Concert series”. In fact, the quality is “completely official class”. It may seem like it’s too late now because it has been known as official class for a long time, but this time it is a digital rebroadcast. There is no degradation at all in the sound that does not go through analog for broadcasting or recording, and of course there is no physical playback distortion. The sound of the broadcasting station master has been made into a CD exactly as it is, and its freshness, stability and detail are perfect. Speaking of the “WAR” era, the official video “U2 LIVE AT RED ROCKS: UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY” is the most symbolic of all, but it is a superb sound board of “completely official grade” that does not give up even if it is played continuously. Furthermore, this digital rebroadcast has updated the longest length ever. As mentioned above, the set is different from “UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY” because it is a different time. Let’s organize it by comparing it here. Boy (6 songs + α) A Day Without Me / An Cat Dubh / Into the Heart / The Cry-The Electric Co. / I Will Follow / The Ocean (★ *) Irish October (5 songs) I Threw A Brick Through A Window / I Fall Down (★) / October / Gloria / Fire (★) Others (5 songs) WAR (Fight): Surrender / Sunday Bloody Sunday / New Year’s Day Single: A Celebration (★) / 11 O’clock Tick Tock (*) *Note: “★” marks songs that cannot be heard in the official video “UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY”. “*” marks songs that cannot be heard in the previously released FM sound source. …And so it is. Unfortunately, this is still not a full show, but it also includes “O’clock Tick Tock” and “The Ocean”, which were cut from the original broadcast version by WESTWOOD ONE. The overall balance is also less of a selection of “WAR” before its release, so you can enjoy plenty of the masterpieces of “OCTOBER” than “UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY”. “PRE-WAR Tour” was a little different from the “WAR Tour”, which was the main tour. This is a digital rebroadcast version that updates the highest peak of the symbolic sound board. This is an absolute board that you should keep next to the official DVD of “UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY”. Stereo sound board recording of “December 6, 1982 Hammersmith Palace performance”. Digital rebroadcast version of the FM sound board that represents the PRE-WAR Tour. The quality is “fully official class” that updates the highest peak ever, and it does not give way at all even when played side by side with the official video “UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY”. “O’clock Tick Tock” and “The Ocean”, which were not in the original broadcast version of WESTWOOD ONE, are also delicious semi-official absolute boards.
