In the spring of 2018, after the end of the 30th anniversary tour of “The Joshua Tree”, “eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE TOUR 2018”, part 2 of the “iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE TOUR” held in 2015, started. From that North American tour, the first day of the live performance in San Jose, California, which was two consecutive performances on May 7th and 8th, was recorded in 137 minutes. First of all, the thick sound using the high-end equipment “Schoeps CCM4” perfectly reproduces the spectacle and dynamism of the huge venue. The core of the set is the repertoire from “SONGS OF EXPERIENCE”, and eight songs were performed on this day, instead of “THE JOSHUA TREE” at all, and the show without “Where the Streets Have No Name” or “With or Without You” is refreshing in a sense. On the other hand, it’s nice to hear “Acrobat” from “ACHTUNG BABY” for the first time, “Staring At The Sun” from “POP” for the first time in 17 years, and songs that haven’t been included in the set for over 10 years, such as “The Ocean” and “All Because of You.” Disc 1 : 1.
