Description
This 2CD set contains a complete recording of the live performance at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles on November 18th, in master quality and soundboard format, from the North American tour following the release of Joshua Tree in 1987. This is the third leg of the North American tour after the release of the album, which was their first to top the charts in the UK and US. The set is of course centered around album numbers, but also includes some of their best hits from the first leg in the spring, and the key point is that some of the set content has changed from the first leg in the spring. In addition, the band also covers and includes their respect songs at various points. Incidentally, the covers they performed on this day included “Gloria,” “Helter Skelter,” “Help!” and “Stand By Me” during the encore, as well as the rare “Party Girl.” In addition, it includes Bob Marley’s “Exodus,” The Doors’ “Riders On The Storm,” and the Stones’ numbers “Ruby Tuesday” and “Sympathy For The Devil,” Lou Reed’s “Walk On The Wild Side,” etc. Furthermore, the previously distributed sound sources have been restored as much as possible to include imperfections due to the master, and the latest digital remastering has been applied, making it the definitive version of the day. Unlike the documentary “Rattle & Hum” that became a movie, this is a complete recording of one concert, so it is a must-have for fans. Disc 1 : 01. Where The Streets Have No Name 02.
