Description

Our “WAR Tour” soundboard series is archived with the highest peak update master. The digital broadcast master, which can be said to be the final blow, has been decided to be permanently preserved. This work is engraved with the “July 3, 1983 Werchter performance”. It is a stereo soundboard recording from the appearance at Belgium’s largest music festival “Rock Werchter”. If you have noticed this article, you may know that our shop has been releasing a series of U2 soundboard albums recently. Especially in the “WAR” era, most soundboards have been archived with the highest quality ever. This work is the latest in such a series. First of all, let’s organize the collection and check the show’s position on the tour schedule. 1982 (September-October “WAR” production) ・December 1-24: Europe #1 (20 performances) ←※HAMMERSMITH PALAIS 1982 1983 (February 28 “WAR” released) ・February 26-April 3: Europe #2 (29 performances) ←※TIFFANY’S 1983 ・April 23-June 29: North America (48 performances) ←※DENVER 1983 and others ・July 2-August 21: Europe #3 (5 performances) ←★Here★ ・November 16-30: Hawaii/Japan (7 performances) This is the outline of the “WAR Tour”. The “North American” leg is represented by “DENVER 1983”, but there are also other masterpieces such as “BOSTON 1983 2ND NIGHT” and “US FESTIVAL 1983”. The Werchter performance in this work was the second performance of “Europe # 3” which took place immediately after that. “LORELEY FESTIVAL 1983” is also popular from this leg, so let’s take a closer look. ・ July 2: Torhout Festival (Belgium) ・ July 3: Rock Werchter ← ★ This work ★ ・ August 14: Dublin performance (Ireland) ・ August 20 “LORELEY FESTIVAL 1983 (West Germany)” ・ August 21: Karvoia Festival (Finland) “Torhout Festival” and “Rock Werchter” are both Belgian music festivals, and are usually held for two consecutive days. Some people may remember the 1982 pro shot when they hear “Rock Werchter”, but that was the previous “OCTOBER Tour”. This work is the “WAR Tour” edition, which has appeared for two consecutive years. Well, such a show is the largest festival in Belgium, so it is also broadcast on radio. This work is the highest peak version of that FM sound board. As with the previous series, it is a famous product that was made into a CD from the best master selected by overseas U2 researchers. In fact, its quality is the best ever. What is wonderful is the master freshness. After all, this work is not an air check from the 1980s, but a recent digital broadcast version. Therefore, there is no broadcast noise, dubbing marks, or deterioration over time. The sound of the station master has been transferred to CD without deterioration. Such an ultimate gene sound depicts not the big names of the scene, but the young U2 who was burning as a challenger. As mentioned above, it is also the latest “LORELEY FESTIVAL 1983”, but the sets are different, so let’s organize them by comparing them. Boy Out of Control/Twilight/An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart/I Will Follow Others WAR: Two Hearts Beat As One/New Year’s Day/Sunday Bloody Sunday Others: Gloria/11 O’clock Tick Tock (★) *Note: The ★ mark indicates songs that were not heard on the FM soundboard of LORELEY FESTIVAL 1983. …And so it is. Since it was a festival appearance, it was a short set, but two songs, “Surrender” and “40”, were also cut according to the broadcast time frame. Although the shortness is a lingering flame, the interesting thing about music is that it is not simply “bigger is better”. Not only is everyone in their early 20s exploding with youth, but because it is a short set, the tension is uninterrupted throughout the entire performance and they run at full speed. Moreover, in that short time, the enthusiasm to gain more fans than any other band is concentrated. It emits a heat that is on a different level from a normal full concert. The highlight of the album is “11 O’clock Tick Tock”. Not only was it not heard at “LORELEY FESTIVAL 1983”, but Jim Carr of SIMPLE MINDS, who was also at the same festival, also joined in on this day. He sang “Someone Somewhere In Summertime” with great enthusiasm. The audience responded with a chorus. You can enjoy the luxurious collaboration of the two men who would later become known as the Lilywhite Family. The soundboard series in which the performance of an ambitious rock band is poured directly into your brain. This is the latest installment, and a new masterpiece from the end of the “WAR Tour”. This is a permanent preservation of the highest peak master that suits the deep selection eyes of researchers who have been proven by the masterpieces so far. Stereo soundboard recording of the “July 3, 1983 Rock Werftel performance”. The best master selected by overseas U2 researchers, the quality is the highest ever. After all, there is no broadcast noise, dubbing marks, or deterioration due to aging, just because it is a recent digital broadcast version. The sound of the station master has been transferred to CD without any degradation. This is a new masterpiece that also features “11 O’clock Tick Tock” (a cover of “Someone Somewhere In Summertime”), with a special appearance by Jim Kerr of Simple Minds.
