Description

Introducing the finest stereo soundboard album that contains the last brilliance of the original U.K. This work contains the famous “Cleveland performance on November 9, 1978” broadcast on BBC. A classic that has been produced in large quantities based on air checks for a long time. This work is the highest version of it. In fact, the quality of this work is ironclad. The mix itself is the same as the broadcast, with a DJ at the beginning, but it is on a different level from the many air check records, with no reception noise or tape deterioration, and it is glossy and ironclad. Some of the previously released records did not include “Caesar’s Palace Blues”, but this work is a decisive board that flows out with perfect line sound for about an hour, including that, without any cloudiness or fluctuation. To be honest, there is nothing to write that is perfect so far. “Complete official quality”. This is the top stereo soundboard that ends with this one word. It’s not just the sound that makes this work special. The show depicted with such a sound is also unique. Before explaining that, let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the show’s position from the overview of U.K.’s activities. January: 1st album released April 29-May 15: UK (13 performances) About one month later June 23-August 8: North America #1 (22 performances) About one month later September 1-11: North America #2 (3 performances) September 18-October 8: North America #3 (8 performances) About one month later November 9: North America #4 (1 performance) ←★Here★ November: Four-piece disbanded → 2nd album production begins This is the full picture of the original U.K. In fact, the tour of the four of them ended in six months from April to October 1978, and this work is a special show that was held only once after that. It was the last performance just before the disbandment. We recently delivered the very early stereo soundboard album “EL MOCAMBO 1978: REEL MASTER (Virtuoso 350)” of the “original U.K.”, and this album is also its counterpart. It is a special live album among the many U.K. soundboards. The performance is real just before the band disbanded. While giving the impression of an arrangement that was refined over about half a year of touring, it seems as if the clash of egos between the masters is transparent. Allan Holdsworth is particularly amazing. In “Carrying No Cross”, you can hear some mistouches, but the more the show progresses, the more heated it gets and the more heated the playing gets. In the studio album, he was part of the ensemble, but (perhaps he had already decided to leave) he does whatever he wants and does whatever he wants. To be honest, you can enjoy the momentum that could destroy the ensemble. The mix of this work further enhances the performance. The guitar is emphasized to the very limit of not destroying the entire ensemble, and Alan’s wild dance is very vivid. After this show, jazz musicians Alan and Bill Bruford left the band. Only rock musicians and ensemble-oriented John Wetton and Eddie Jobson remained. This work contains a harsh live performance that gives a sense of foreboding, but is also due to the cracks. The last hero of 70’s progressive rock, “Original U.K.” This is a live album that depicts the last performance with the finest official quality. This is not just another band masterpiece. The last brilliance of the music genre “progressive rock”. Live at Agora Ballroom, Cleveland, OH. USA 9th November 1978 STEREO SBD(UPGRADE) (59:37) 01. Introduction 02. Alaska 03. Time To Kill 04.
