Description

Tony Williams, who was highly regarded by Miles Davis as a jazz drummer, formed his own band, Lifetime, and moved in the fusion direction. This live recording is from 1976, and features Allan Holdsworth, who was in high demand from jazz rock bands such as Soft Machine and Gong. The same members also released a studio album called New Lifetime, and when you listen to “Million Dollar Legs,” you get the impression that it is pop and boneless (the title is even soft), but this live recording is rugged jazz rock itself. VERY GOOD As stated, the sound quality is a little difficult, even though it is a soundboard recording. The difficulty is that there is a lot of hiss noise. Other than that, the bass is captured clearly and the sound is powerful. At first, the hiss may be a concern, but before you know it, your concentration will be drawn to the performance and you will definitely forget about the hiss. It is a powerful live performance.
