Description

HOLY HOLY is an early Bowie reproduction project led by Tony Visconti. Introducing the latest original recordings that completely reproduce the two great albums “The Man Who Sold the World” and “Ziggy Stardust.” HOLY HOLY started in 2014. A project launched by Visconti and Woody Woodmansey of THE SPIDERS OF MARS. Visconti was also the producer of Bowie’s posthumous work “★”, and continued his activities both during its production and after Bowie’s death. In 2017, the official live album “THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD LIVE IN LONDON” was also announced. They have been active since Bowie was still alive, and because they are a project by key people at the time, they stand out from the many tribute bands out there. This work is their latest live album. This is a masterpiece audience recording of “February 20, 2019 London Performance”. This is the original master of this work that was handed down by the recording artist himself, but this is also extremely neat. This is by a famous recording artist who has been recording the British scene since the 1980s, and is known at our store as a “British master.” Master’s uniqueness is that he combines a realistic atmosphere with DAT recording and modern clarity, but this work is more robust than usual. The thick core approaches your eyes, and the details are clearly conveyed. Although it absorbs the slight sound of the venue, it is balanced as if it were coming from a direct core, and there is no sense of distance. The sound is a complete reproduction of the shocking “The Man Who Sold the World” and “Ziggy Stardust.” The official live album “THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD LIVE IN LONDON” (as the title suggests) featured the reprint of “The Man Who Sold the World,” but this work also features the famous album “Ziggy Stardust.” It is. The show consists of two major parts + encore, so let’s organize it here. ●Part 1 (Disc 1) “Ode To Joy” + “The Man Who Sold the World” Complete reproduction ●Part 2 (Disc 2) “Ziggy Stardust” Complete reproduction ●Encore (Disc 2) “Where Are We Now?” ”, “Life On Mars”, “Changes”, “Rebel Rebel”… and so on. Bowie’s last top 10 single “Where Are We Now?” is a song from 2013, but the rest are all masterpieces from the 70’s. Reproductions of the two great albums fill the main set, and the encore is a conceptual show that solidifies the other delicious songs. As mentioned earlier, there are official live songs, but there are many songs that can’t be heard there. Of course, “The Man Who Sold The World” is completely covered, but “Ziggy Stardust” alone does not cover about half of the 5 songs, and all encores except “Life On Mars” are “THE MAN WHO SOLD THE”. This is a repertoire that cannot be heard on “WORLD LIVE IN LONDON”. And the performance that depicts such a set is also wonderful. In addition to Visconti and Woodmansey, the members are HEAVEN 17’s Glenn Gregory (Vo) and Berenice Scott (Key), and the guitar players are COCKNEY REBEL’s Paul Cudderford and James Stephen, known for THE ALARM/GEN X/THE CULT. Son. Visconti’s beloved daughter Jessica Lee Morgan also participates on guitar and saxophone (she also sings lead vocals on “Lady Stardust”). All members except Berenice also participated in “THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD LIVE IN LONDON”, and the lineup was shaped up, so it was tight. Of course, no one can replace Bowie, but Glenn’s singing is also quite familiar, and it is a live album that allows you to fully immerse yourself in “an evening of masterpieces”. A group of masterpieces from the 70s that will be handed down in 2019 by Visconti & Woodmansey. Moreover, it is a masterpiece of a live album where you can experience a complete reproduction night of the two great albums “The Man Who Sold the World” and “Ziggy Stardust” with exquisite sound. A 2-disc set of original recordings with a listening experience that surpasses even the official version.
