Description
In 1978, Tom Scott appeared at the prestigious New York club “Bottom Line.” In the late 1970s, he effortlessly transcended the boundaries of jazz/fusion, establishing his own unique sound that incorporated elements of rock, funk, and soul, centered around the saxophone. This release is a noteworthy recording that captures Scott’s live performance in a realistic club setting using soundboard audio. The band members that day were Steve Khan on guitar, Russell Ferrante on keyboards, Jim Haslip on bass, and Ron Aston on drums. The highlight is undoubtedly the jam session during the encore, where Jaco Pastorius and Richard Tee join Scott on stage after being introduced by Tom Scott. Jaco also participated in one track on Tom’s album “Intimate Stranger.” You can enjoy this precious live performance in the highest quality sound.
