Description
The 2024 live performance by the rare artist Tigran Hamasyan’s trio, which was just held after the release of “Bird of a Thousand Voices,” a masterpiece that depicts the legend of the “Firebird” of his homeland Armenia with a variety of sounds and traditional melodies, is now available for the first time in the finest high-quality sound! This work is a complete recording of the trio’s live performance held at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colorado on March 27, 2024, just after the completion of “Bird of a Thousand Voices” and before its release, over 80 minutes in the finest high-quality sound with the master recording by the people involved and the label’s own careful mastering. It is also fun to compare the trio and solo performances of many of the songs included in “Bird of a Thousand Voices.” Come and listen to the new music of the superhuman Hamasyan, who has never been heard before, with his sharp sensibility and virtuosity! ! Evan Marien, an American bassist who graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2009 and won the Bass Magazine Readers’ Choice Award, has performed with Hamasian, Wayne Krantz, Elliot Moss, Dana Hawkins, and others, and is known for his hybrid fusion of jazz, metal, prog, and electronic music. Arthur Nartek, a talented drummer who was born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1990 and is now based in New York, stunned many fans by playing Hamasian’s older albums with a perfection that seemed impossible for a human to play, and is a central figure in modern jazz. Shane Ensley, a trumpeter who is active not only in jazz but also as a sideman for Ani DeFranco and Pearl Jam, is an incredible lineup of musicians, and they unfold amazing “jazz-prog” music, including a beautiful and fantastical intro that suddenly develops into a number with a strange and spectacular irregular time signature!
