Description
A complete reprint of the analog 2-disc LP “WHO’S ON FIRST?”, a high-quality audience recording of the Anaheim performance on March 21st from the 1976 North American tour, from the original. Other than this record, this is a sound source that has not been released on CD until now. What is surprising is the sound quality and almost complete content with almost no defects, and it is an excellent piece that makes it surprising that such an excellent take has not been released as a CD. Of course, by applying natural cross-fade processing to the joints of the discs, you can enjoy them seamlessly. Technically speaking, there is a cut at 2:08 in We’re Not Gonna Take It, and the second chorus of the song is missing, so that part has been adjusted from the first half so that it can be heard without any discomfort. Also, the end of the last song, Won’t Get Fooled Again, seems to fade out a little too quickly, so I adjusted the volume to make it easier to listen to. Bonus tracks that are not related to the main story have been deliberately removed so that you can enjoy the live performance itself. The musical tones are recorded clearly and clearly, and there is no strange feeling of equalization at all, so I think it’s very pleasant to listen to. While the cheers are naturally diffused, the musical tone is firmly in the middle, so you can clearly see the state of the excellent PA sound on the day. As an even more interesting bonus track, approximately 10 minutes of the Boston performance on March 9, 1976 is included. This is a take from that performance where Keith Moon collapsed on stage due to a drug overdose and the concert was canceled after two songs. A completely different master from the take announced by Dan Lumpinski last year. The sound quality is good and the cheers are completely different. There is no problem like the PA noise in I Can’t Explain that was heard with the Lampinski sound source, so with the appearance of this take, you can see that that noise is a problem with the Lampinski master. It is an interesting document, including Substitute whose performance gradually becomes strange, and Roger’s MC after the performance.
