A treasured sound source that recorded the San Diego performance on February 1st, the last day of the 2nd period Crash 1984 US tour, in high quality stereo audience recording is now available! Following Topper, the Clash lost Mick Jones as well, leaving them with Joe and Paul. Pete Howard, who had played drums at the 1983 US Festival, and Vince White and Nick Shepherd on guitar. This is a treasured sound source from the existing treasured sound source of the 2nd period Crash, which was recorded as a high-quality stereo audience recording of the live performance held at the Fox Theater in San Diego on February 1, 1984! Recorded directly from the master cassette, the sound is wide and the vocals as well as each part are perfectly balanced, with a pleasant sound in both the low and high ranges, and you can enjoy the high-quality sound that was in the upper class at the time! (There is a gap in the intro of “The Magnificent Seven” due to a tape change.) It is easy to overlook this period’s clash due to the absence of Topper and Mick, but the band’s lively voice seems to respond to Joe’s energetic shout. Groove, and the unreleased number “Ammunition” from newly arranged numbers by this member and the infamous “CUT THE CRAP” which was only played a few times on this tour and was not played live after this tour including Joe’s solo. The set list includes new songs from “Rock The Casbah,” which features a rare scene where the songs are interrupted and restarted, “Should I Stay Or Should I Go?,” with Mick on lead vocals, and “Police On.” It’s interesting that “My Back” is also being played.
