Description
In January 1968, New York is a surprising sound source that includes the recording of “We Can Talk” from the recording session of The Band’s first album “MUSIC FROM BIG PINK” held at A & R Studio. Although it is in a slightly rough state, making you think that it was leaked from the studio, it is still recorded in stereo, which is amazing. The Band at this time has been conducting sessions almost in a studio live state, and has already shown a high degree of perfection from the early takes. However, John Simon, who was in charge of producing this album, is proceeding with the session while giving strict instructions in order to create a take suitable for inclusion in the album. Especially, the failure after take 5 is really severe. It’s natural for him to stop at just the intro, and he even gives strict advice like, “It’s too hard to play!” This is a truly realistic document. This is a valuable sound source item that captures the unlikely recording scene of The Band! A&R Studios, New York City, USA 10th January 1968 STEREO SBD (24:57) 1. Take 1 (instrumental) 2.
