Description

Sting in 2006 was attracting attention with his ambitious work “SONGS FROM THE LABYRINTH,” while he was also heading towards the reorganization of THE POLICE. Here is a superb professional shot that can be said to be a symbol of that era. This work was shot at the “Switzerland performance on July 11, 2006.” It is a multi-camera professional shot of Sting appearing at the traditional music festival “Montreux Jazz Festival.” Speaking of 2006, it is often remembered as “the year of SONGS FROM THE LABYRINTH,” but it was not a whole year spent, and it was also a time when two tours intersected. In order to understand such a situation, let’s first look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show. 2005, January 10th – February 13th: Asia/Australia (18 shows) “BROKEN MUSIC Tour” – March 16th: London show – March 28th – May 14th: North America #1 (30 shows) – September 24th: Warsaw show 2006, April 2nd – 29th: North and Central America (6 shows) – June 4th – July 30th: Europe #1 (34 shows) ←★Here★ “SONGS FROM THE LABYRINTH Tour” – October 3rd – December 13th: Europe #2 (7 shows) 2007, January 11th: Los Angeles show – February 18th – March 12th: Europe #3 (16 shows)《THE POLICE Reunion》This is the journey from 2005 to the reunion of THE POLICE. The 2006 stage was roughly divided into the “BROKEN MUSIC Tour” until the summer and the “SONGS FROM THE LABYRINTH Tour” from autumn onwards. And the Montreux performance of this work was the end of the former. It was the 22nd concert of “Europe #1”. This work, which recorded such a show, is a completely official super-super professional shot. It seems natural that it is an extremely famous festival both globally and historically, but it is still beautiful. In 2006, the transition from analog to digital was a delicate time, but it was probably digital broadcast. Or maybe it was recently rebroadcast digitally… In other words, it is not the 2006 standard, but the visual beauty that I would like to say is the best with “super” even by modern standards. What is depicted with such quality is Sting’s hot stage, which suddenly turned from jazzy to rock. In fact, it is not a full recording because it is edited along the broadcast frame of about an hour, but the repertoire that is piled up is particularly thick. Let’s organize the set here. THE POLICE (6 songs) Outlands d’Amour: Next to You White Regatta: Message In A Bottle/Walking On The Moon Zenyatta Mondatta: Driven To Tears Synchronicity: Synchronicity II/Every Breath You Take Solo (5 songs) Nothing Like The Sun: Englishman In New York/Fragile Ten Summoners Tales: If I Ever Lose My Faith In You/Shape Of My Heart Brand New Day: Desert Rose … and so on. THE POLICE/Solo is about half and half, and the great representative songs of the past are lined up. Unfortunately, it was cut in the broadcast, but it was compressed into a medley on the stage because they couldn’t squeeze out all the famous songs. It is a greatest hits that can be seen in its richness. It is a super-excellent video that allows you to witness 2006, which was not so widespread, perhaps because it was erased by the shock of the reunion of THE POLICE the following year. A completely official video masterpiece that allows you to enjoy Sting’s passionate performance, which had returned to the rock road for a historic reorganization. A multi-camera pro shot of the “Montreux Jazz Festival on July 11, 2006”. It seems natural that it is an extremely famous festival both globally and historically, but even so, it is a beautiful, completely official, super-excellent pro shot. It is a beautiful video that I would like to say is the best with “super” not by 2006 standards but by modern standards. The set is about half THE POLICE / solo, and the great representative songs of the past are lined up. The performance that returned from the jazzy route to the rock route is really hot, and you can enjoy the stage that rushed towards the reunion of THE POLICE the following year.
