Description

From the 1987 US tour, the Des Moines, Idaho performances on May 8th and August 30th, and the Omaha, Nebraska performances on June 16th are completely recorded with ultra-high quality audience recordings. The 6-disc set includes 3 much-talked-about performances, all using the first appearance master recorded by the same taper. The Des Moines performance on May 8th is an astonishing recording take that was recorded so clearly that it couldn’t have been any better. It will surely surprise listening fans. The Omaha performance on June 16th is the take with the lowest sound quality in this set, but it is still an excellent recording if you think of it as a normal audience recording. On this day, the Jail Breakers will appear in the middle of the show and will perform as a guest on 4 songs. The Des Moines performance take on August 30th is recorded with the best sound of these three performances, and it exceeds the Disc 1 & 2 take, which was recorded with the highest sound quality. Although there are some unstable parts at the beginning, from then on it is a must-listen take that records the entire show with the highest quality ultra-clear sound like a soundboard recording. All musical sounds, including guitars and drums, as well as Tommy’s bass playing, are recorded with a crisp sound with a rich presence, greatly captivating the listener. Reese’s tasteful organ play is also exquisite, and fans can immerse themselves in the powerful Ray Vaughan live performance of this period with the best sound image. The three performances recorded live from the same year have changed the selection of songs considerably, mainly in the second half of the show, so you can enjoy the content that is worth listening to. The tape change cuts are in the middle of Tin Pan Alley on Disc 1 and near the ending of Willie The Wimp on Disc 5, but since the tape is immediately reversed, each cut is minimal. Introducing a 6-disc set of titles that all fans must listen to, consisting of unreleased high-quality takes. The Civic Center, Des Moines, IA.
