This is a live show featuring Stax, the most important label in Memphis soul. Speaking of Stax, of course, it’s Booker T. MG’s, which includes Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn, and Anton Figg, who has been a tag team member since around 1990, but Booker T. Jones is not there. It’s a shame that Booker T and Cropper seem to be on bad terms. Instead, Lester Snell is on the keyboard and the familiar Eddie Floyd is on vocals. Although it is an audience recording, it is well recorded and I think that even beginners can listen to it.
