Description
Since his shocking debut in the 1970s, Stanley Clarke has been at the forefront of the industry with his gorgeous bass playing. In recent years, he has also become known as a master of discovering young talent, and this video shows him performing at the 41st Vitoriajas Festival with his latest unit in high-definition professional shots. His playing, which combines edgy high notes, chords and slap playing, is truly one-of-a-kind. His big hands and long fingers dance across the frets to improvise with the melody. His playing with effects may have influenced Miles Mosley of the Kamasi Washington Band. He plays the lead melody with vigor, and in his solo parts, he doesn’t just pluck the strings, but also hits his body to create a percussion-like effect. The recording time is 90 minutes.
