The Amsterdam performance, which was recorded in the 80’s heyday with the highest quality stereo sound board recording, is now available in an upgraded version with an increased number of songs and improved sound quality! The heyday of 2 Tone Ska’s mainstays, the Specials, was recorded on January 21, 1980 at the famous Paradiso in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and was rebroadcast on German FM radio in 2009 with a superb quality stereo soundboard recording. The previously released version of the same label, “PARADISO 1980 -FM BROADCAST TAPE-(TOTH1400)”, is now available as an upgraded version with 6 more songs and improved sound quality! Six more songs have been added, bringing the total to 22 songs, including the opening scene where the members appeared that could not be heard on the previous edition. Furthermore, the high frequency has improved and has been significantly upgraded. The six songs that could not be heard on the previously released editions are “Guns Of Navarone”, “Little Bitch”, “Long Shot Kick De Bucket”, “Liquidator”, “Skinhead Moonstomp”, and “Madness” from the latter half of the live performance. The strongest setlist includes 13 songs from their debut album, including Winehouse’s covers of “You’re Wondering Now” and “Monkey Man,” as well as their 1st single “Gangsters” and the same single “Rat Race.” Approximately nine months later, they released their second album, but the band split up the following year, and the Specials, a legendary band that rose to prominence in just over two years, were in the midst of the 2-tone ska movement.
