From the Japanese jazz festival Live Under The Sky, which was held every summer from 1977 to 1992, a special concert was held at Tokyo Yomiuriland on July 31, 1983, in which Sonny Rollins and Pat Metheny co-starred. The quartet’s stage performance is recorded as a high-quality stereo sound board sound source. Disc 1 uses the FM broadcast master that was broadcast live at the time. Disc 2 uses a stereo soundboard sound source of a different master for two songs that were not broadcast, “Don’t Stop The Carnival” and “Moritat”.
