Description

The live performance on the second day of the Kawasaki concert on June 18, 2006 was recorded in full with a superb audience recording. The sound is clear and very close, and the balance is perfect, with sound board-level sound quality. It is a wonderful recording that allows you to hear the detailed playing of all the members. As this unit is permanently active, the combination on stage is very solid, and you can listen to a convincing, very high-quality performance. Sax player Theo Travis, who replaced Elton Dean, who passed away in February of this year, also captivates the audience with his brilliant playing. The masterpieces of the mid-period Soft Machine, which make up the majority of the set, are all worth listening to, and you can listen to the long concert of more than two hours without getting bored at all. In the middle, Slightly All The Time is sandwiched between a new song and another song “written specially for Kawasaki”, which is a nice take. A truly wonderful live performance that will satisfy all progressive fans. A highly recommended one.
