Description
This is a live sound source of Soft Machine when Alan Holdsworth was enrolled. In the early days, Soft Machine was categorized as psychedelic or Canterbury-style, with some Kevin Ayers influences, but later they moved toward jazz, featuring wind instruments and organs without a guitarist. Meanwhile, the up-and-coming guitarist Alan Holdsworth, who was in demand at the time with jazz-rock prog bands such as Nucleus and Gong, was selected as the guitarist. With the addition of Holdsworth, Soft Machine was in a state of disrepair and released the masterpiece album “Bundles,” which featured guitars heavily and had a stronger rock flavor. With this title, you can enjoy the most rock-oriented jazz/rock performance of the “Bundles” period live. There are some parts that are a little over-leveled, but the soundboard is included. This is a remastered recording from a new master with corrected pitch, and track IDs such as the medley-style “Hazard Profile” have also been newly arranged. DISC 1 01. Intro 02.
