Sigur Ros / Tokyo, Japan 8.26.2022 Complete IEM Matrix Edition

From a label famous for its Japan tours, the second day of the live performance at Tokyo Garden Theater on August 26th, the first solo tour in five years, was recorded in full using a multi-stereo IEM matrix. First, the line source from the uncompressed multi-ear monitor source used by the members on stage for monitoring was mixed with the digital audience master, using the label’s familiar multi-IEM matrix source. This time, the live sound was faithfully reproduced by stereo mixing multiple monitor sources with different mix balances for professional use and exquisite audience sources. The stage on this day was divided into two parts, and the set contents were the same as the first day, including new songs “Gold 2” and “Gold 4” that will be included in the new album in production, and a spectacular performance of over two and a half hours was performed. In addition, “Rafmagnið búið” was added to the set for this Tokyo performance compared to the previous Osaka performance, and all the delicate and detailed nuances of the band’s sound, from Jónsi’s vocals to the percussion instruments that show a variety of expressions, were here in a wonderful balance. As mentioned above, they have evolved even further since the two performances at the Tokyo International Forum five years ago, and as a representative band of post-rock and electronica, their sound with the Icelandic atmosphere drifts, and this is a memorial item commemorating their visit to Japan that reproduces their beautiful and majestic unique musical field with official quality.
