Description
From the second Japan tour in 1979 accompanying “Lovedrive”, the performance at Nakano Sun Plaza on June 5th, the performance at the Welfare Pension Hall on June 7th, and the final performance at Korakuen Hall on June 8th, all of the 1979 Tokyo performances are here in the best quality, audience recordings directly using the original cassette masters. First of all, while the broadcast sound source of the digest version of the performance on June 5th on the first day in Tokyo is famous, the sound source of this board is of course a completely different master, and although the bass is slightly boosted, the sound is clear and stable, making it a must-listen for fans. In particular, the first half of We’ll Burn The Sky and In Trance, Always Somewhere, Fly To The Rainbow, etc. have a clear sound comparable to line recordings. Also, at the Tokyo performance, Is There Anybody There? was introduced in Japanese with the Japanese title “Meditation Reggae” only on this day. And the performance on the second day, June 7th, which will be the first appearance, was recorded from the middle of the second song Backstage Queen. The recording machine had a limiter applied, and the parts without drums sounded better than the parts with dense sounds, but the overall sound was clear and loud. As the live performance progressed, the sound quality improved, and the middle part, Always Somewhere, was of the highest quality. There was also a rare scene where the title call was made before Life’s Like A River, but the guitar started tuning, and the song could not be started immediately. The June 8th performance was recorded for 1 hour and 33 minutes with the clearest sound quality of the three performances. The drum sound in particular was very powerful, and although the bass was slightly distorted due to a slight over-input, the sound pressure was also powerful enough to reproduce the entire performance at Korakuen Hall on the last day of the precious 1979 Japan tour. Also, before Can’t Get Enough, Rudolf gave a passionate MC in German, and this song, the last number of the tour, was very powerful. This is a must-listen item that contains the complete 3 performances of the 1979 Tokyo performance from the original master. [Live at Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan 5th June 1979] Disc 1/ 1.
