Description

TESLA, whose “PSYCHOTIC SUPPER” album was their fourth consecutive platinum disc, and SCORPIONS, who had risen to the top of the era as a symbol of the end of the Cold War, are here with a live album set in which the two men shared the stage in 1991. This work features the “Stockholm performance on September 27, 1991”. This is the finest audience recording. This show was basically SCORPIONS’ “CRAZY WORLD Tour”, and was part of a European tour that featured TESLA as the opening act. To get an idea of the situation, let’s first look back at the schedule at the time and check the show’s position. 1990 June 21st: Hannover performance {“CRAZY WORLD” released November 6th} {“FIVE MAN ACOUSTICAL JAM” released November 9th} ・November 23rd – December 31st: Europe #1a (24 performances) ← *Official footage 1991 ・January 2nd – 26th: Europe #1b (15 performances) ・February 20th – May 26th: North America #1 (66 performances) ・June 8th – August 4th: North America #2 (38 performances) {“PSYCHOTIC SUPPER” released September 10th} ・September 16th – November 16th: Europe #2 (37 performances) ← ★Here★ ・December 3rd – 7th: Japan (4 performances)This is the schedule for 1990/1991. If we mix the dates of the two bands, it will be a mess, so we will only include the dates of the main act, SCORPIONS. TESLA only lists the release dates of the masterpieces “FIVE MAN ACOUSTICAL JAM” and “PSYCHOTIC SUPPER”. Speaking of the “CRAZY WORLD Tour”, it is also recorded on the official DVD “A SAVAGE CRAZY WORLD”, but the Stockholm performance of this work is about a year later. It was the third concert of “Europe #2”. This work, which vacuum-packs such a show in its entirety, is a master taper collection that is currently a hot topic. The master is a person called “Crazy Tapes”, who has been releasing a series of original Swedish recordings that are too spectacular in the past few months. DEF LEPPARD’s “STOCKHOLM 1993” and Alice Cooper’s “SCANDINAVIA 1991” have been well received, and ACCEPT’s superb “LUND 1993” was released at the same time. This work is the SCORPIONS/TESLA edition. In fact, the sound of this work is clear, powerful, neat and beautiful. The tone is not mistaken for a sound board, but it is so vivid that you will want to make a mistake. The vocals are especially amazing. Not only every word of Klaus Meine’s lyrics, but even the nuances contained therein are clear and clear. You can hear even the slightest vibrato, doss, and slightly playful pronunciation nuances without missing anything. Of course, it’s not just the vocals that stand out, but the guitars that are close in range are just as clear. The edges are also sharp, and the sense of separation that never mixes even when the twins are entangled is tremendous. There is also a “jiji” electromagnetic noise leaking from the amp between songs, but even such subtle sounds are picked up precisely. What’s more, surprisingly, that brilliant sound runs through the entire two bands. Usually, the sound tends to be small in the opening act, but this work is of the same superb quality as the TESLA edition and the SCORPIONS edition. In fact, at the beginning of the SCORPIONS edition, “Tease Me Please Me”, the taper gets lost in the volume and adjusts it, but it also stabilizes in about 30 seconds. After that, the sound of the iron wall continues. Finally, let’s organize the full set drawn with such a brilliant sound. TESLA・Great Radio Controversy: Hang Tough/Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)/Love Song・Psychotic Supper: Change In The Weather/Call It What You Want/Edison’s Medicine (Man Out of Time)・Other: Gettin’ Better/Modern Day Cowboy/Signs SCORPIONS・Scorpio Palace: Can’t Live Without You/Blackout/Dynamite・Forbidden Tattoo: Bad Boys Running Wild/Still Loving You (★)/Big City Nights/Rock You Like A Hurricane・Crazy World: Tease Me Please Me (★)/Lust Or Love/Hit Between The Eyes/Don’t Believe Her (★)/Wind Of Change (★)・Other: Coast To Coast (★)/Holiday (★)/Make It Real (★)/The Zoo/Rhythm Of Love/I Can’t Explain *Note: The “★” mark indicates songs that could not be heard on the official DVD “A SAVAGE CRAZY WORLD”. …And so on. SCORPIONS’ tour-only songs such as “I Can’t Explain” and “Lust Or Love” are delicious, and TESLA’s set of electric, concentrated representative songs is particularly rich. It is a treasure trove of masterpieces that can only be found in 1991, when they were at their peak. Even so, it is an amazing collection. The collection of the famous Scandinavian recording artist “Per Erik” once took the world by storm, and in recent years, the German master “G.Mann” has also become a hot topic. However, the recordings of this “Crazy Tapes” group surpass even those masters. Of course, since there are still only a few works, it is too early to talk about the merits and demerits of the average, but at this point, the “Crazy Tapes” collection is outstanding. SCORPIONS/TESLA in their prime, with such high sound quality that you can’t help but get excited about the future excavations. The best audience recording of the “Stockholm performance on September 27, 1991”. This is a three-disc set in which the two heroes in their prime were completely recorded by the popular master taper “Crazy Tapes”. The sound is clear, powerful, neat and beautiful. In particular, the vocals are not just every word of the lyrics, but even the nuances contained therein are clear and clear. SCORPIONS, who also has delicious tour-only songs such as “I Can’t Explain” and “Lust Or Love”, and TESLA, who has condensed and reduced their representative songs up to “PSYCHOTIC SUPPER”. You can fully experience the treasure trove of masterpieces unique to 1991, when they were at their peak.
