Description

After the release of their second album, “Abraxas,” the Providence performance on October 10, 1970 was recorded with a very realistic soundboard recording, and both the first and second sets were recorded. The performance of “Waiting” from the first album shines with the funk in the first half and the percussion barrage in the second half. They also play Chico Hamilton’s cover “Conquistador Rides Again,” which they played before their debut. Prince must have been inspired by the rockish development of “Gypsey Queen” while looking at Led Zeppelin. “Toussaint L’Overture” and “Evil Ways” overlap, but the arrangements are different, so it would be good to compare them. Other than these two songs, there is no overlap, and you can enjoy the strangeness of the original members of early Santana with the soundboard recording.
