Description
From the North American tour accompanying “Moonflower” in 1978, the Palladium performance in New York was recorded on February 9th as an official ultra-high-quality stereo soundboard recording. The set has changed significantly from the Japan performance in November 1977, and the show suddenly opens with the new song Dance Sister Dance. However, in the opening scene, Santana’s guitar seems to be off, and in the following Europa, she seems to be making adjustments as she plays, giving the impression that she is having a bit of trouble. However, from the middle part of the song, you can hear the best performance at full speed, and from the third song Batuka / No One To Depend On, a serious and explosive play develops. The classic song Soul Sacrifice, the new song I’ll Be Waiting, and the spectacular Incident At Neshabur are a combination of light vocal songs and the overwhelmingly terrifying instrumental numbers of yesteryear, which are unique to this period. The set will captivate the audience. In Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen, you can listen to Santana’s amazing performance in 1978, where her charm exploded. At Toussaint L’Overture, it’s truly a sight to behold as the powerful ensemble bursts out of the speakers like a flood. The performance continues without any slack until the end, and you can listen to an energetic live performance that symbolizes Santana in the late 1970s. This is a highly recommended piece with excellent sound quality and content. Live at Palladium, New York, NY. USA 9th February 1978 STEREO SBD Disc 1 1. Introduction 2. Dance Sister Dance 3.
