Description

Santana, who released a jazz/fusion-oriented solo album and developed a different approach from his previous works, performed in Dortmund, Germany on June 12, 1980, in master quality, professional shot footage from a recently rebroadcast on-air source by the familiar Rockpalast. The band ensemble performed together for 2 hours and 20 minutes, and all of it was recorded in full, including a parade of representative songs from the early days of “Black Magic Woman” and “Samba for You,” to the mid-period “She’s Not There” and “Marathon” released the previous year. In addition, during the encore, two members of Bob Marley & The Wailers, who were performing on the same day, jumped in and performed a hot session, and since this was a rare period when Santana was also transitioning from his early Latin colors, fans should check it out. And as an added bonus, a 42-minute live performance from Sydney, Australia in 1979 was recorded from the local TV on-air master, and at the end, Carmine Appice also jumped in on percussion, and here too, the blend of rock, Latin and fusion was exquisite. For a total of three hours, the peak period was recorded in the best quality. Disc 1: 01.Introduction / 02.Hannibal / 03.All I Ever Wanted / 04.
