Description

“MOVING PICTURES TOUR” where Hero RUSH reached the peak of his popularity. The famous edition that conveyed the full show has been decided to be released. This work includes “March 25, 1981 Toronto Performance”. This is an exquisite audience recording. This week, two super masterpieces “ANAHEIM 1981 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN” and “LONG BEACH 1981”, which are upgraded traditional recordings, will be released simultaneously, and this work is also one of the best recordings of “MOVING PICTURES TOUR”. First of all, let’s start with the show position. “MOVING PICTURES” Let’s check the show’s position from the 1981 tour schedule when the whirlwind raged. [“MOVING PICTURES” released on February 12th]・February 20th – April 26th: North America #1 (42 performances) ←★Coco★・May 6th – July 5th: North America #2 (37 performances) ) [“EXIT… STAGE LEFT” released on October 29th]・October 29th – November 29th: Europe (20 performances)・December 1st – 22nd: North America #3 (15 performances) This is 1981 RUSH of the year. “ANAHEIM 1981 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN” and “LONG BEACH 1981”, which were permanently saved at the same time this week, were both “North America #2” live albums, but this work is very early. This is the 19th performance of “North America #1” and the final day of a three-night series in his hometown of Toronto. From this tour, the traditional official live album “EXIT… STAGE LEFT (part of)” is also left, but the scene was “Montreal performance on March 27th”. This work is the “one before” concert. The point of this work recorded at such a show is that it combines the length of a full show recording and an exquisite sound. In the first place, the complete recording in 1981 itself is valuable, and there are only a few that are wonderful in terms of sound. In addition to the above two works, our store also presses “DEFINITIVE CHICAGO 1981 (Cygnus 014/015)”, but this work is a famous recording that can be said to be one of the four heavenly kings. In fact, when you play this work, the sound that comes out is extremely neat. It’s not as good as the three works mentioned above in terms of its core direct feel, but that doesn’t mean it’s far away (by any means!). The sound of the hall is felt only by the tone and extension of the vocals, each drum stroke is powerful, and the guitar work is clear in detail. The bass, which tends to be a weak point in guest recordings, is also clear, and the bass attack sound is cool and crisp. Among the sounds that are separated from the audience, the one that feels most like a guest record is the breath of the audience. Just to be sure, this work does not have a roaring scream, but rather the audience noise is smaller than the standard. However, the small cheers didn’t stop ringing out. Normally, the applause is only noticeable between songs, but in this work, the applause continues (albeit faintly) behind the thick and meaty performance sound, and you can clearly see that it is a tremendous excitement. That should be it. This work is set in my hometown of Toronto, where MOVING PICTURES is in the midst of a multi-platinum smash hit, and its epicenter. RUSH’s 40 years have always been accompanied by success, but we are vacuum-packing the place and time that is the culmination of that culmination. What is spelled out in such a scene is a full show that can only be climaxed. Let’s organize the contents here. 70’s・FLY BY NIGHT; Beneath, Between & Behind・2112:2112 (Overture/The Temples Of Syrinx) (★)・A FAREWELL TO KINGS: Xanadu/Closer To The Heart・HEMISPHERES: Hemispheres (Prelude) (★)/ (Broon’s Bane &) The Trees/La Villa Strangiato・70’s Medley (★): Working Man/Hemispheres (Armageddon)/By-Tor And The Snow Dog/In The End/In The Mood/2112 (Grand Finale) PERMANENT WAVES・Freewill / The Spirit Of Radio / Natural Science (★) MOVING PICTURES ・Limelight (★) / The Camera Eye (★) / YYZ / Red Barchetta / Tom Sawyer / Vital Signs (★) *Note: “★” mark is official Songs that cannot be heard on “EXIT… STAGE LEFT (album version)”. …and it looks like this. As mentioned earlier, this work is the one before “EXIT… STAGE LEFT”, but it also features plenty of famous songs that can’t be heard on the traditional official edition. It is also the live album closest to the “complete version of EXIT… STAGE LEFT”. After the full show, this work concludes with a bonus FM sound source promoting the Toronto performance. Not only is it one of the most famous recordings of the “MOVING PICTURES TOUR,” but you can also experience a full show in your hometown, the pinnacle of the best, and it even reminds you of the “panoramic view of EXIT… STAGE LEFT.” It’s a must-listen from any point of view.
