The live performance on May 25th, the first day of the daily performance at NY Radio City Music Hall at the end of the North American tour accompanying “Avalon” in 1983, was recorded on an ultra-high-quality stereo soundboard from a radio on-air master in recent years. Complete recording for 1 hour and 40 minutes. The next day, the 26th, was a rare live sound source that had not been distributed at all on the first day, while the broadcast master at that time already existed and was in circulation, and it was a complete recording except for the beginning and end that faded. The “Avalon” tour started in August 1982, the first half of which was performed in Europe, with some soundboard sound sources including official ones, and after a Japanese tour in February, a North American tour in May. , there is almost no sound source itself, and after this day, the tour will end with two performances in Boston and Philadelphia, so it can be said to be a culmination. We also created a band structure with a clear contrast between the three original Roxy members, Ferry, McKay, and Manzanera, and other support members, introduced rhythm guitar, and improved the chorus, which until now had a strong visual aspect. In addition to the drums, percussion was also added to strengthen the rhythm section, creating a live sound unique to Roxy.It is a stylish and original Roxy late-stage performance that is at its best.
