Description
From the third Japan tour in 1977, the Hiroshima performance on October 27th has been digitally remastered and recorded in the best quality on a stereo audience master that was good for that time. First, it uses the original master of a very rare master cassette, and is almost complete except for some cuts for tape changes on “Too Much Alcohol”. And like the subsequent Tokyo performances, this Hiroshima live performance is also great, with good sound quality for that era, a stable and spacious sound on a large scale, and Rory’s groove-filled riffs and solos are thick, clear, and powerful. Lou Martin’s keyboard also gives the band a unique color that is typical of this period, and the solid rhythm sound is also wonderful, making it an ideal sound where you can clearly hear every hit of the bass drum. The set was also unique to this period, and in addition to the familiar numbers, they also performed “Do You Read Me”, “Moonchild”, “Calling Card”, and “Secret Agent” from their latest album at the time, “Calling Card”, as well as “Souped-Up Ford”, “Bought And Sold”, and “Out On The Western Plain” from their previous album, “AGAINST THE GRAIN”. This is a memorable live album of Rory’s performances in Japan in the 1970s. DISC 1 : 1. Moonchild/02. Bought And Sold/03. Tatto’d Lady/04. Calling Card/05. Secret Agent/06. A Million Miles Away/07.
