Description
AI technology is revolutionizing the world of music archives. The result of this is the release of a color video collection of the Rolling Stones. This work contains nine professional shots. It is a collage movie of eight TV programs broadcast in 1964 and a bonus song, “I’m King Bee.” The main focus is on the eight TV broadcasts, which have only been seen in black and white until now. These have been colorized using AI technology. AI colorization, which has become familiar with the Beatles and others, is also at the forefront of this work. When this technology first appeared, I was surprised just by colorizing it, but looking back now, the unnaturalness is noticeable, and in the end, black and white is often easier to see. However, perhaps AI learning has continued since then, and it has become much more natural recently. This work itself contains eight types of colorized footage, and although the production time and quality vary, this on the contrary makes it possible to feel the progress of AI technology. For example, “The T.A.M.I. Show (October 25th)”. This footage shows almost no discoloration or color bleeding that is typical of AI colorization, and the texture is quite realistic. Although it has a sepia-like feel, the finish is so natural that you would think it was originally shot in color. This work allows you to enjoy plenty of early masterpieces with such color footage. All of them are repertoires unique to 1964, and songs that were being sold as singles, such as “Not Fade Away” and “It’s All Over Now”, were played many times on different programs. Please refer to the song title for the recording date of each video, but here we will organize them by the number of takes recorded. One take each (6 songs) I Wanna Be Your Man / You Better Move On / Around And Around / Tell Me / Little Red Rooster / I’m King Bee Two or more takes (7 songs, 15 takes) 2 takes: I Just Want To Make Love To You / I’m Alright / Off The Hook / Time Is On My Side / It’s All Over Now / Carol 3 takes: Not Fade Away … and so on. Of course, the debut single “Come On” is not included, but from “I Wanna Be Your Man” to “Little Red Rooster” released in November 1964, you can enjoy the movement of all 13 songs and 21 takes. This is a treasure collection of colorized monochrome footage familiar to collectors. A piece that allows you to immerse yourself in the colorful professional shots of the early days of the band’s debut for about an hour.
