Description
The two releases, “LIVE IN OAKLAND 1969”, a masterpiece of Odins recordings from the Stones’ 1969 American tour, and “GET YER YA-YA’S OUT! COMPLETE EDITION”, which can be called the hero of soundboards, both appeal to beginners and enthusiasts. It is an evergreen title that can be enjoyed to the fullest, and as evidence of this, it has become a popular item that has been repeatedly reprinted to this day. A third new title will be released this week on top of these two bestsellers, and this time it’s a killer live album composed of soundboard sound sources from the 1969 tour! Even though it is the same soundboard album, “GET YER YA-YA’S OUT! COMPLETE EDITION” aims to be a complete version of one day’s stage based on the format of the live album of the same name. This means that some songs have been overdubbed, including Mick and Keith’s vocals, and the mix has been meticulously finished. In that respect, it was a slightly different concept from a real live document. Therefore, the main point of this time’s “1969” is that not only is the entire volume composed of sound board recordings, but it is also compiled with only real live takes without overdubbing. The 1969 American tour produced not only “GET YER YA-YA’S OUT!” (hereinafter referred to as “GYYYO”), but also the byproduct of the movie “GIMMIE SHELTER”. Since this audio is a movie, there is no overdubbing, and it has the great advantage of being able to hear the same take as “GYYYO” in a more natural state. From there, there are differences in the audio of the movie between the video version and the DVD version, and there is also a rare sound source called the rough mix of the audio for the movie that was unearthed from the masterpiece “A SHOT OF SALVATION”. Therefore, this time we will focus on these sound sources as the main, and also combine them with the take released in the “GYYYO” deluxe released 10 years ago (a separate performance from “GET YER YA-YA’S OUT! COMPLETE EDITION”). It has been compiled as a soundboard album that is a pure live take and has a quality comparable to the official one. Another appeal of the movie’s audio is that the bass is generally fuller (= warmer) than in “GYYYO.” When releasing it, we did not just put together the sound sources, but also thoroughly adjusted each one. Therefore, the level of perfection as a soundboard album is extremely high, and this time too we guarantee a finish that everyone from beginners to enthusiasts can enjoy with confidence. And “Stray Cat Blues”, which was incorporated between these sound sources, can be said to be a forgotten rare sound source. When “GYYYO” was remastered in 2002, only the German press released the CD in a slightly shorter version, with two bars from the introduction of the drums to the beginning of the song being omitted. is. Naturally, this is a type of error mix or error mastering that has been recalled, and it may not be worth calling it an edit version. However, it must be a rare sound source now, and many people may be hearing it for the first time with this release. After all, it is a happening item from over 15 years ago (this is the only take in which Mick’s vocals were overdubbed). Unfortunately, “Sympathy for the Devil” was not completely recorded in the movie, so for the main live performance this time, “Gimme Shelter”, which was played live on tour itself was valuable, was used from the rough mix for the movie. And “Sympathy for~” is included as a bonus track. This part is all recorded on a monaural soundboard, but the first “Jumping Jack Flash” is from a show that was held only four times in his home country of England after the US tour (his first since Hyde Park). Audio from footage shot for news. Mick’s sharpness is amazing here, and it’s amazing that he sings with words that are prohibited from broadcasting from the beginning. This is also a familiar take for enthusiasts, but it is also a sound source that has been forgotten in recent years. Furthermore, the rare monaural sound source related to “GIMMIE SHELTER” from the movie was included, and the last thing recorded was the soundboard recording of the Detroit performance. The audio is from a video said to have been shot by a local TV station, and the sound quality has a vintage feel, but the solid soundboard is quite satisfying to listen to. It is also a minor sound source that has not been heard in live compilations until now, and it will be the perfect sound source to conclude this soundboard album. You can listen to “Sympathy for the Devil” here, and Mick Taylor’s lead guitar is amazing! If you combine this with “GET YER YA-YA’S OUT! COMPLETE EDITION”, the sound board of the 1969 US tour is already complete. Introducing the third must-have item. All Tracks Soundboard (77:45) 1.
