The STEREO version with the cutting by Robert Ludwig is amazing, you just have to listen to it. The freshness of the sound, the separation between left and right… everything is as you would expect from RL cut! The sound quality is so good that you will want to groan. The next MONO version and “Start Me Up” listened to in MONO are both of acceptable quality, but without the RL marking. Next up is the STEREO/MONO version of “Waiting On A Friend”. It is a well-known fact that this STEREO edit version was only available on this promo version and the Japanese 7-inch version, but the MONO version that can only be heard here is the main point of this gift item. Usually, the MONO side of the US promo-only STEREO/MONO single tends to be cut with a slightly more sloppy feel than the STEREO side, but this MONO version is an RL version with a genuine RL marking by Robert Ludwig, just like the A-side. The resonant bass and the clear Sonny Rollins tenor, that’s in MONO!!! It’s no exaggeration to say that the “sound” surpasses the STEREO side in every respect. In addition, we have added “Hang Fire” from the US promo 7-inch, which was only released in the US, Canada, and Brazil, which is currently attracting attention, to the list, so we are now able to cover all the singles cut from “Tatto You”.
