Description
There is no official live album of the Stones’ 1978 American tour, but instead there are many recordings for radio broadcasts. In a similar situation, a masterpiece called “NASTY MUSIC” was created from the radio broadcast of the 1973 European tour, and a masterpiece called “LACERATED” was created from the 1978 tour. This was a typical example of the benefits of radio broadcasting, and that’s why not only the outstanding sound quality from the beginning, but also the sophisticated black and white design of the jacket and cover were great appeals. Actually, this album and “NASTY MUSIC” were both LPs released by the same person (Ken Douglas), but the label he was using at the time “LACERATED” was released was THE IMPOSSIBLE RECORDWORKS. All of the items featured were jackets with a black and white design. And it was also characterized by the main sound board recording. However, there were exceptions like Pink Floyd’s “KNOBS”, but basically items based on sound board recordings occupied. One of THE IMPOSSIBLE RECORDWORKS’ biggest masterpieces is “LACERATED”. This title and design continued into the CD era, and it is well known that VGP released a wonderful CD version. However, in 1997, regarding the radio sound source of the 1978 tour, Pigmark’s prestigious TSP (for that reason, TSP was said to follow the flow of TMOQ, but while the latter was an American Ken, this is was managed by the German Dieter Schubert, and there is no direct connection between them).A major breakthrough was made with the historic masterpiece “HANDSOME GIRLS” released in the final stages of the company’s final years. All items up until then were based on radio broadcasts or radio broadcast discs, and all the prohibited words that Mick uttered during his performance in 1978 were covered with buzzers. However, “HANDSOME GIRLS” surprised enthusiasts around the world because it recorded the sound source before such processing was applied. Furthermore, 10 years ago, the current CONCERT VAULT site released a long version of the sound source recorded for radio broadcasting. Currently, these two are the two mainstays of the 1978 tour radio sound source. Although it is a tour that is extremely blessed with stereo sound board recording, there is surprisingly no culmination of all of them. Since “HANDSOME GIRLS” was the core title, “THE LOST HANDSOME GIRLS” is a masterpiece that neatly organizes various other radio sound sources. It was such a bestseller that two versions were released, both of which sold out quickly. Naturally, there are endless calls for a re-release. Therefore, this time we have planned a new compilation as the third item of the sound board recordings of the American tour that started from “1969”. Just like the previous bestseller “Moasupe”, this time it will be released under the name of ancient masterpieces, so the title is “COMPLETE LACERATED”. If you’re an enthusiast, you might be able to guess just from this title, but this time we’ll also include the main part of the radio broadcast heard on “HANDSOME GIRLS”, and also summarize the sound source heard on “THE LOST HANDSOME GIRLS”, The content can truly be called a complete and definitive edition. However, anyone can just put together a collection, and there have been titles like that in the past. Therefore, this time we decided to overhaul all parts and sound sources one song at a time. Among them, “Tumbling Dice” at the Sam Houston Coliseum, which is still only heard on analog boot (due to the previous circumstances, the buzzer that prohibits broadcasting is the same as before), and as the performance progresses, Bill Wyman “Jumping Jack Flash” in Kentucky, where the bass sound goes out, is not simply reused from “THE LOST~”, but is re-equalized. On the contrary, as a result of thoroughly correcting the sound quality to give all songs a sense of unity, the result is a result that can be heard so naturally that it is hard to believe that several sources were combined throughout. However, the overall sound quality is just warm. Even enthusiasts who have various 1978 radio sound source items released in the past will fall in love with this excellent listening experience. Not to mention things like pitch adjustments. Furthermore, there is one groundbreaking attempt with this release. It’s “Tumbling Dice” in Detroit, where Mick’s vocals turn off halfway through. However, if you are a maniac, you know that that part could be heard normally in the audience recording on the same day. This is the sound source heard on the analog LP “ABANDONED IN DETROIT”, but it was mixed into the radio sound source from here, and the part where Mick’s voice could not be heard was improved. However, since the audience recording is not close to the sound image as if it were a “sound board”, it is a normal audience, so the mick was not turned on all at once. However, the original state of being confused and not knowing what they were singing has been reborn! And the radio sound source of 1978 had exactly two stages worth of performance songs, but only “Let It Rock” exists only one take in Detroit. Therefore, we borrowed the same song from Fort Worth and recorded it on two discs without any duplication. Of course, Fort Worth is not a radio sound source, but by using the “HANDSOME GIRLS” mix instead of the current official version with a modern finish, we have achieved a cohesiveness that does not feel out of place with other parts. . Yes, the highlight of this time is not only the overall sound quality, but also the detailed editing in which each of the two discs is one stage, something that has never been seen before. Therefore, in addition to the sound quality, it is also extremely easy to listen to as a total live album. The third installment of the sound board compilation following the 1969 and 1972 American tours has the highest level of cohesion and quality ever. This is definitely a SATISFACTION GUARANTEED for everyone from beginners to enthusiasts!
