Description

A disc that includes a reconstructed version of the Philadelphia performance on the first day of the 1981 tour using a Low Generation soundboard and monaural audience recording (also Low Generation). Original release was January 2015 (title was “PHILADELPHIA 1991 1ST SHOW”). Needless to say, the SBD best edition from the first day of the 1981 tour, which sold out quickly at the time and has received constant requests for re-release for the past five years, will be re-released in a new look. Of course, just like previous works, the rough pitch of the original sound source and the processing of connections with the AUD sound source have been almost completely restored, so don’t worry. As you know, this day’s live was a loose and wild tour of the Stones at full throttle on the first day. The encyclopedia says, “It was supposed to be the long-awaited first day, but the performance was like a public rehearsal,” but when you listen to this line audio source, you can see that the entire live performance was performed on that day. However, it is not a meta-meta performance, and even though it was the first day, the songs that were played on the 1978 American tour, that is, the songs from “SOME GIRLS”, seemed to have a high degree of perfection. It comes from the SBD sound source. However, as soon as it became part of the tour repertoire in 1981, the Stones collapsed (lol). First of all, as soon as “Let’s Spend The Night Together” begins, Keith makes a terrible mistake. It’s as if the ghost of Knebworth in 1976 appeared in Philadelphia in 1981. Also, it is clear that the order of the songs has not been worked out yet, and compared to the later live performance, the positions of “She’s So Cold” and “Let Me Go” seem to have been swapped. However, those are still the beginning, and even when Mick starts “Let It Bleed”, which began to be played live from this tour, Bill’s bass can’t keep up at all. In the end, we had to do it all over again, but when it comes to this, it’s definitely a public rehearsal. What’s more, it’s noticeable before and after that song, but Ronnie talks a lot on this day. I think it’s rare to see a Stones live performance where members other than Mick talk so much. During the introduction of the members, Mick interrupts and says, “Hey, Mick, can I ask you something? I think I accidentally sent my ring flying into the audience. It’s a really nice gold ring, but I lost it. I don’t want it back.” “Hey Mick, Mick. I’ve just thrown my ring out in the audience. It’s a very nice gold ring – it went over there.” If you don’t want to return it, (it) don’t matter, but, it, I’m going to get in terrible trouble”. There’s so much talk that it seems like they’re going to steal your shares. (The cool response that Mick makes afterward, like, “What the hell are you talking about?” is hilarious! “Tops” is probably the highlight of such a chaotic first day. It was originally an outtake from Mick Taylor’s tenure. It was a new song that was picked up and completed with “TATTOO YOU”, but the wild and energetic performance here is quite impressive. In the studio version, it seems weak that Mick was singing in a falsetto throughout. However, after this, the song “PARTY DOWN” released by our store was canceled during the live performance in Rockford. , it was a tragic song that was played at the Boulder performance of our store’s release “PAVE BOULDER ’81” and was the last song to disappear. And towards the end of the live performance, it was called “Climax Repertoire Selection”. It is also spectacular that the songs are arranged in such a way that you will want to listen to them, but on top of that, the intro of the closing song “Satisfaction” is confused with “Jumping Jack Flash” and Keith starts playing it, which is famous since the days of audience recording. Please listen to this SBD sound source. You will be speechless at how terrible the mistake was. However, coupled with Mick’s wild singing at this point, it is a wild and dynamic performance that is completely different from Hampton. It is also true that it is a wonderful sound source that can be enjoyed. Recorded in Philadelphia on the first day of the tour, which is the opposite of the eternal classic Hampton, the loose Stones Live at John F. Kennedy Stadium is the best!
