Description
The final performance of the 1982 tour, held in Leeds on July 25th, is recorded directly from the analog record “Maybe the Last Time” (Multicolor Records) for 53 minutes and 55 seconds. Although it has already been released as a bonus track on “Rotter’ Beast of Burden”, this version contains the original sound before equalization, and is about 3 minutes and 20 seconds longer than the CD version. The selection of songs ranges from the opening to the encore, and the content is well-balanced, making this an excellent album that everyone can enjoy. It is a highly recommended album that can be enjoyed by itself. Although minimal processing such as pitch adjustment and removal of scratch noise has been performed, the noise and sound cuts caused by microphone contact that are scattered throughout the album remain as they are, and the tone has not been tampered with. The advantage of this record is that you can hear the sound as it was recorded on the record before equalization, noise correction, and other treatments, but the selling point of this record is that the press version “ROTTER’ BEAST OF BURDEN” includes Little T & A, which was not recorded due to recording time. The song lasts 2 minutes and 49 seconds (this part was not recorded), and 8 seconds of cheers after the song is recorded from there, which is the end of the A side of the record. In front of Angie, which is the beginning of the analog B side, Mick’s MC talks about this day being the final performance of the tour with words of thanks to the audience. In addition to the “pomp and circumstance” of the outro, the last part also includes the sound of fireworks. Originally, it was a fairly high-quality sound for an audience recording in 1982, and it can be said to be one of the famous recordings comparable to line recordings, so the natural sound of the analog record is hard to throw away. Previously, when “ROTTER’ BEAST OF BURDEN” was released, this was the only title of the famous recording from 1982 that was distributed only once. The sound quality and content of the final performance of the 1982 tour are superb, so analog recordings should not be underestimated.
