Description
A rare analog bootleg of the 1969 Hyde Park concert held in memory of Brian Jones, “HYDE PARK JULY 1969,” has been reissued from the original. This analog bootleg has long been a secret favorite among fans for its surprisingly good sound quality for an audience recording of the 1969 outdoor festival. However, despite being such a famous recording, the analog itself is rarely seen these days. As for this LP, the version with the reduced slick size is very rare, but the LP-sized version with the red printed slick is rarely seen. However, for this reissue, the original red slick version has been carefully recorded from a mint condition LP. The audience recording on this LP is inferior to the audience recordings unearthed in recent years in terms of the closeness of Mick’s vocals, but the overall balance is clearly better. The texture of the recording is excellent, conveying the sense of realism of the outdoors, and you can also hear “Down Home Girl,” which cannot be heard with a line source, making this a valuable recording in every sense. And above all, it will be a delight for many fans because it allows you to listen to an LP that has been described in various documents as “good sound quality for the time,” but has rarely been heard except for one copy of “Down Home Girl.” Live at Hyde Park, London, UK 5th July 1969 Taken from the original bootleg LP “Hyde Park 1969 July” (Contra Band Music, WC 3689) (42:41) 1.
