Description

The “Hyde Park Free Concert” was a hastily held memorial performance due to the sudden death of Brian Jones. The legendary concert film shot on July 5, 1969 is now available. This video needs no explanation. A masterpiece of music video that remains in rock history, and a masterpiece among masterpieces that has even been made into an official work. However, this work is not a copy of such an official product. This is the Japan Broadcasting version that was released on a certain broadcasting association’s famous program “Golden Western Music Live” on “July 5, 2006”, three months after the Japan performance of “A BIGGER BANG TOUR”. This program broadcasts classic rock videos in a special format, and is popular for its selection and the quality of digital broadcasting. Furthermore, it is a famous program that is fully equipped with its own commentary corner and Japanese subtitles. This work is a DVD version of the “Hyde Park Free Concert” edition. This work is also full of the flavor of such “golden Western music live”…or rather, it can be said to be the best masterpiece to date. It’s such a wonderful unique version. Of course, the main story is “THE STONES IN THE PARK” which features Hyde Park, but it is divided into two parts with that as the center. Let’s introduce them in order. [Main: THE STONES IN THE PARK] When you play this work, an explanation corner begins. This program invites a different celebrity each time to talk about musicians and the contents of the show, but this time the navigator is photographer Kano Akira. why? I can’t help but think that Mr. Ka○ is actually the same generation as Mick and Keith (technically one year older), and made his world debut at a solo exhibition in 1969. The solo exhibition itself was in New York, but he also visited London. Although the story wasn’t so great that he actually experienced Hyde Park on-site, he was at the cutting edge as an artist in the same era, and was very aware of the existence of the Stones. In fact, that comment is very real. ○I’m not a huge fan or maniac, but I feel like I’ve been living a long time in the mindset of “The Stones were one of my targets when it came to their contemporaries or naughtiness” and “The Stones either lose or lose!” It’s hot.” Following such an explanation corner, the main story starts. Since it is a legendary video that is too famous, I will omit the details, but the quality is top notch. In fact, the broadcast date of this work, “July 5, 2006,” is not only the day after arriving in Japan, but also the day that the official remastered version DVD is released in Japan. As expected, the bonus videos “Mercy Mercy,” “Stray Cat Blues,” and “No Expectations,” which became a hot topic, are not included, but the main story itself is broadcast in the highest quality. It was digitally recorded by a core record enthusiast in Japan without any deterioration. Even more special than the quality is the program’s unique Japanese subtitles. As you know, this video is not just a live film, but a documentary with the theme of Hyde Park. Subtitles are essential for interviews, backstage, MCs, and poetry readings dedicated to Brian. What’s more, the subtitles are provided by a certain broadcasting corporation that is the best in Japan when it comes to historical documents. His choice of words is both realistic and elegant, adding a touch of class to the historical document. [Second half: A collection of video clips that follow the times] My heart is full just by watching this unique version of “THE STONES IN THE PARK,” but this program is not over yet. It will also feature “later Stones” who entered the 70’s after Hyde Park. Of course, the main character of the program is “THE STONES IN THE PARK”, so there will be a full live video! It’s not that great, but you can follow his progress with past clips. To be more specific, the PV part is also divided into two parts, and the first half has six songs from “Brown Sugar (the video is Hampton 81)” to “Waiting On A Friend”, that is, “1971-1981”. In the second half, clips of five songs from “One Hit (To The Body)” to “Like A Rolling Stone (STRIPPED version)”, that is, “1986-1995″, are played in chronological order. It provides a digest of the Stones, who have continued to be active while changing with each era. What’s more, this PV part also includes an explanation corner by Mr. Ka○ in between, which is why it’s so hot. Immediately after watching “THE STONES IN THE PARK,” I said, “I feel very nostalgic, and at the same time, I can’t help but think that this is where my origins lie.” “When I see the Stones, I just suddenly think, “Oh, yeah.” “I feel like we have a distant friendship. Do your best, you, do it until you die. I remember my selfish feelings.” There is no concrete history of the Stones, and there is no trivia at all. I simply write down the words of artists who ran through the same era. As time progresses in the clip, he says, “As we head into the 1990s, those guys are still going strong, even after a century has passed. How far will they go from here? I think they’ll reach the level of the Tennobu Monument.” In verse ○, he expresses his admiration, and by the time he reaches the present day, he says, “The thing I want to resonate with the Stones is the battle with myself,” and “I’ve come a long way (physically) since I’m 64 years old. “I’m going to search further into my own inner world,” he says, viewing the Stones only as a side runner. Then, he sends a message of encouragement to himself, saying, “I’m alive, so I can’t stop the engine, so I want to tell you not to stop the engine.” He may be completely unconventional when it comes to navigating a music program, but the way he spits out his words with just emotion and passion is typical of Mr. ○No, and at the same time, it suits the Stones, who have been around since the 1960s. This work is the best and different version of “THE STONES IN THE PARK”. Although it is not advertised as “exceeding the official work!”, it is a masterpiece that also includes the progress “after”, and coats all of this with Mr. Ka○’s words. “THE STONES IN THE PARK” overflows with emotion that can only be found in Japan and on Japanese broadcasting. Finally, I would like to conclude with a comment from Mr. Takahashi that explains the essence of this work: “What is the era? How did I fight against the era? Was I a person of the era in that era? I’d like you to put your hands on it and test it out. Then maybe a lot of videos (like this one) will make sense.” Hyde Park, London, UK 5th July 1969 PRO-SHOT Broadcast Date: 20th May 2006 (74:56) 1.
