The Stones have appeared in the European “Winston Remaster” series, which has been a hot topic on the web in recent years for its high-quality remastering, following Zep. This is the second installment of the King Biscuit Flower sound source series, compiling highlights from the 1973, 1978, and 1981 tours. As part of the Joe Maloney archive, the classic KBFH sound sources for Stones fans are all recorded with the latest digital remastering and perfect soundboard sound sources. In particular, disc:1 includes “HAPPY” and “GIMME SHELTER” from the first show in Brussels, Belgium on October 17th, recorded from the source that was first aired. Furthermore, disc:2 is noteworthy for the use of DAT masters from the 1997 airing source for highlights from the 1981 tour, making it a valuable source that has rarely been distributed until now. This collector’s edition is a must-see for fans, including those mentioned above.
