Description

A complete reprint of the analog boot “Party Down” from the 1981 US tour, which was a complete recording of the Rockford, Illinois performance on October 1st with a good stereo audience recording, from the original 3-disc set. The sound source of this day could not be heard on any other record until now, so it can be said that it is a happy reprint project for enthusiasts. Played with great care using high-end equipment, scratches and noise were completely removed digitally, and a complete reprint CD was created. It was originally recorded with good sound quality, and is almost non-equalized except for pitch adjustment, needle crackling noise removal, and splicing. The sound sources recorded across six LP sides were seamlessly connected and adjusted so that they can be listened to without any discomfort. Of course there is no noticeable scratch noise. The jacket is also a complete reproduction of the original analog version. You can enjoy the whole picture of this day’s show with natural, easy-to-listen, and stable sound. Initially, this concert was not included in the tour schedule, and the concert was made possible by local fans collecting 36,000 signatures led by radio station WZOK’s Dallas Cole and Dennis Logan, and the audience was enthusiastic. There is something amazing. Originally, this analog boot boasts a clear and powerful sound, although it picks up some reverberation in the venue, and Charlie’s drums are also included in the wild sound. Although the sound quality is a little rough, there is a bone to the sound, which leads to a very dynamic sound image. It is a high-quality sound source that makes you think that it is a waste not to be able to listen to this high-quality performance even in the CD era. The Stones’ performance on this day gave a very cool and smart impression. A tight, professional performance is being developed without any disturbance. After “Let It Bleed”, there is Mick’s MC who announces that he will do “Tops”, but the band seems to have refused, and “You Can’t Always ~” will be played. Also, this was the only performance where an encore was not played. The number of songs performed was 23, the smallest number on this tour. Stone’s Side may have responded to the dry situation by suddenly increasing performances on days that were originally scheduled to be off. That is not to say that the tension of the performance is low, and the professionalism of the Stones can be felt strongly there. It was a day that showed such irregular progress, but the audience was unconcerned and enthusiastic. As mentioned above, this performance was made possible due to fans signing a petition, so it was no surprise. A complete reproduction of the 1981 analog masterpiece, which is suitable for listening at high volumes, in the best possible way.
