Description

The recordings from the Rolling Stones’ latest live performance, the America Latina Ole tour, which is currently in progress, will finally be released. Thank you for your patience! As the tour title suggests, the first two performances of the Stones’ current tour around South America will be released at the same time. First of all, I would like to introduce the Santiago performance on February 3rd, the first day of the tour. The audience recording that will be released on CD this time was made a few days after the live performance, and has been remastered based on that. We have improved the dynamism and clearness by improving the lack of depth, which seems to be the sound source originally recorded as mp4. Moreover, can this sound source be compared to a rough recording that is rare these days? Anyway, the excitement of the audience in Santiago was amazing! There was a storm of chorus from the opening, and there was such a fever that it sometimes interrupted Mick’s MC between songs (lol). What’s more, most of the songs are sung in chorus. If you write it like this, you may think that it is an audience recording of a dirty quality that is rare in 2016, where listening stress is inevitable due to the surrounding recording conditions. But… it’s different. Not to be outdone by the incredible excitement, the performers also captured the sound with a solid sound image. This is a real audience recording that vacuum-packs not only the spectacular excitement unique to South America, but also the Stones performing enthusiastically in response to them. After all, the Stones themselves have been on a live tour since 2012, so it is in such top condition that it is hard to believe that this day is the first day of the 2016 tour. The Stones tend to be busy in the first half of the tour, but when they continue to tour like this, they are really at their best. Moreover, since they were in front of an excited audience, the Stones’ performance was really hot. In “It’s Only Rock’n Roll”, Mick who enjoys their fever appears immediately. The playful way he sings by changing the lyrics, even if it’s only for a moment, is full-throttle and has plenty of room to spare. However, the audience was not defeated either, and in the next song “Let’s Spend The Night Together”, the audience responded to Mick’s song with a wonderful backing chorus! (lol). Well, it’s a really fun sound source to listen to. However, the biggest topic on the first day of this tour is “She’s A Rainbow,” which will be the first live performance since 1998. It made a comeback after a long hiatus, ranking by far at the top of the web voting songs that day. Unlike the time of the Babylon tour, the performance with a reduced band composition this time is also wonderful enough, and I don’t feel any blank in the performance. This time, Sasha Allen, who replaced Lisa Fischer, who was absent from the tour for the first time due to conflicting with her own tour schedule, joined the chorus of support members and replaced Lisa. He was also selected for the solo part of “Gimme Shelter”. Naturally, her singing style is completely different from Lisa’s, and the way she sings here seems to respect the studio take of Mary Clayton, which is very refreshing. It was enough to make me look forward to the future. It was obvious that the Stones were excited by her participation and the audience’s tremendous excitement, and the incident where Mick and Keith collided during the final song “Satisfaction” (the audience chorus was also amazing) became a hot topic. is still fresh in my memory, but a live show that was so exciting has finally been released.
