Description
The first day of the Hollywood Bowl performance on November 6th, a famous performance and famous sound source from the 2005 “A Bigger Bang” North American tour, was recorded in perfect sound quality. In the first MC after It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll, Mick said, “This is the first time I’ve performed at this venue since 1966,” but this work captures the first performance at the same venue in 39 years with excellent sound quality. It contains a high-quality audience recorded with a Shoeps MK41 microphone and a sound source where an ALD (for hearing assistance) recording was matrixed to the original by an online uploader, and the method is similar to the already released DAC and TMQ titles, but as expected, it is only a recent upload, and the weaknesses such as hiss noise, which was a major drawback of the already released ones, are beautifully corrected. The “ringing” of the high range is also flawless. There is no noisy feeling peculiar to ALD, and the mild and warm texture in a good sense is kept from beginning to end. It can be said that this is a masterpiece sound source that very well alleviates the weaknesses of the narrow-range mono sound board. The ratio is 110% ALD and 28% stereo audience source, but the exquisite balance and the texture of the sound that complements both are wonderful, and it is a high-grade work that can be pressed into a CD as it is. This ALD sound source is left-leaning and weak on the right side throughout, but the audience of this Schoe recording gives a nice wide feeling. The audience recording above was loud, but this AUD recording is very smart and clear, the cheers are off and very easy to listen to, and it has the best effect. As for the set, the opening on the second day at the same venue was Start Me Up, so the first day started with Jumping Jack Flash. Perhaps with the nostalgic performance in mind, the set was mainly composed of songs from the 60s and 70s (this was the only day that Rough Justice was not played on the ABB tour), and fans will be nostalgic for the performance 10 years ago, but they will be listening to it nostalgically. This is an excellent album that you will definitely want to listen to over and over again. Live at Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA.
