Rolling Stones After-Math Sessions

This album covers all the session recordings from the Stones’ album “AFTERMATH”. Aftermath was released in 1966, sandwiching a best-of album, and was the Stones’ sixth original album in the US. All of the songs on the album are originals by Jagger/Richard. This album also takes its hat off to Brian Jones’s sense of effectively sprinkling the sounds of various instruments such as sitar, dulcimer, and marimba. “Under My Thumb” is still a standard song at live performances, and the fuzzed bass of Bill Wyman and the marimba of Brian Jones give it a mysterious atmosphere. It’s a staple blues song for the Stones! But then “Goin’ Home” gradually becomes more sexy halfway through. This song has also been covered by British singer Chris Farlowe, who reached number one in the UK singles chart and included “Out of Time,” which features addictive phrases that are hard to get out of your head, such as the intro and chorus, and “Paint It Black,” which was recorded in March 1966 and reached number one in the UK for the sixth time.
