Description
This is Roland Kirk’s live recording that is popular not only with jazz fans but also with soul music fans. Although it is an audience recording, it is recorded quite well and can be said to be the best audience recording. The venue is the Village Vanguard, a prestigious jazz club in New York where many of the greats of the past have performed. Coltrane’s famous song “Supreme Love” was also performed well. It’s easier to listen to because it’s not as spiritual as Coltrane, and that’s probably why it’s received by a wide range of fans.
