Description

Two spectacular and good-humored performances by the black index of the era of the embodiment of black music overflowing with black juice, both of which sounded so good! The strongest items, coupled with the best high-quality recording, are now in stock! ! 1973 is the first appearance! 1972 is a different class from the previous re-broadcasts in recent years! Included in this work are the performance at the Palais des Sports in Paris, France on November 13th, which is the first performance from the 1973 European tour, where several performances have been seen so far, and the set 2 of the live performance with audience participation at NDR Studio in Hamburg, Germany, where the song order is correct and the sound quality has been improved by several ranks (by the way, set 1 has been officially released). Both performances have been recorded on the master that was recently broadcast, with the label’s own careful mastering, and further polished, and are available for general sale as is, on the best high-quality sound board! ! Both performances began with Kirk’s trademark technique of playing different melodies simultaneously on several wind instruments, and in the 1972 performance, he played Stevie’s “My Cherie Amour,” a melody from the Beatles song, “Satin Doll’s” own signature songs “Volunteer Slavery” and “Dem Red Beans and Rice.” In the Paris performance five months after “Bright Moments,” the most popular album released by Kirk in the 1970s, which features a live performance at Keystone Corner in San Francisco, he played “God Bless the Child,” “Passion Dance,” “Fly Town Nose Blues,” and Kirk’s signature “Three for the Festival,” which is more intense than the original. Kirk mainly plays tenor, but also flute, Manzello, Stritch, and clarinet, sometimes at the same time. Especially on the tenor, which is Kirk’s forte, compared to the early days when he had a great sense of style, this was a period when he established an unprecedented style that was different from anyone else’s, with power, soul, and technique combined. Even if you listen to only that part, you can see that he has reached an incredible state! Also, don’t miss the often overlooked, versatile playing of the flute! Also, please enjoy the best performances to your heart’s content, including the free-flowing playing of both pianists, Ron Burton in 1972 and Don Smith in 1973, where you can see all the members playing together and enjoying themselves!
