Description

In 1975, when they released “Past, Present, Future and Dreams” on Atlantic Records, they mastered the sound source that was broadcast by Berkeley radio station KRE at the time when they appeared at the prestigious club “Keystone Corner” in San Francisco. This is a live performance that has been coveted by fans. The concert opened with a rap (?) by Kirk himself while a backing track played. In a mysterious feeling, the Kirk world was fully opened from the beginning of the live performance, continuing with Charlie Parker’s “Yardbird Suite”. In the middle of the live performance, John Coltrane’s masterpieces “My Favorite Things” and “Giant Steps” were played in quick succession, and this was a must-listen. From the second half onwards, the excitement between Kirk and the band increased further, and the concert ended with a famous performance of “Overflowing Tears,” which was also the title of the album released in 1967. This is a must-listen live recording! !
