Description

Roger Waters’ 91-92 niche rare live show is here! The first half of the CD includes a high-quality stereo soundboard of Roger’s appearance on the 18th from the “Guitar Legends” event held from October 15th to 19th, 1991. The second half of the CD includes a high-quality stereo audience recording of Roger’s appearance from the event “Walden Woods” held on April 1, 1992. The DVD included as an extra disc contains the overseas TV broadcast version of “Guitar Legends”. Monkey Television (What God Wants, Part 1), which was omitted at the time of broadcast, is included as a bonus in a different broadcast version. Comes with a menu screen. During this period, Roger had a really flashy reenactment live performance of “WALL” held in Berlin in 1990, but I wonder if this was the aftermath of the failure (actually defeat) of the RADIO K.A.O.S. tour in 1987. A live tour accompanying the release of the famous album “Amused To Death” released in 1992 was not held. At that time, there was no internet, and detailed information like this was not readily available, so I personally have been looking forward to collecting collector’s items from the live performances that were probably performed after the release of “Amused To Death.” However, it was never released. Meanwhile, the masterpiece CD “Behind The Wall” (Stonehenge), which recorded Floyd’s 1980 wall live performance, was released around the summer of 1993, and was quietly and discreetly included along with THE WALL’s live rehearsal. What really surprised me was the 1991 “Guitar Legends” live performance included in the first half of this CD. At this time, I was able to hear the live version of the songs from “Amused To Death” for the first time, and personally I was a little impressed, but I also learned that there was probably no live tour going on at this time. Unfortunately, I thought so. Since Roger himself recorded the 1992 event live recorded in the second half of this CD, it has been about 7 years since he started his tour on July 23, 1999, and he has lived an almost completely retired life, with no live performances or album releases. (Even though I said that, I guess they were doing something…)This album contains a live performance that I personally have a lot of fondness for, but even after waiting for more than 20 years, Since it doesn’t seem to be coming out anywhere, it’s finally released. To explain the contents of the CD again, “Guitar Legends” included in the first half of the CD uses sound sources obtained through real trade around 1999, not the Internet. It is also available online, but the intro is hardly recorded there, but in this title it is recorded for more than 50 seconds, and Eclipse-Comfortably Numb with inter-song cuts is also included for a long time. Furthermore, this inter-song cut is supplemented with a video sound source to reproduce the uncut recording. The sound quality is also recorded as a flat and pleasant sound that has no relation to the feeling of equalization, and the online sound source is compressed and the bass is thick, but it is raised too much, whereas this title has a natural and flat sound that does not make you tired of listening. It’s the best sound. In addition, in “Behind The Wall”, which recorded this live for the first time, this live was recorded in monaural line, so with the appearance of the main disc recorded in stereo line, the role was finally released. “Walden Woods” recorded in the second half uses internet sound sources. Two types of sound sources have been confirmed for this live performance, but here we have adopted the high-quality stereo AUD version. According to the literature, this event was the trigger for Roger to resume live activities in 1999. In that sense, it is a very important sound source. He also co-stars with Don Henley on Comfortably Numb. There are 4 secret tracks at the end of the CD (from some live show that appears in the above explanation).
