In June 2017, the band will release their first album in 25 years, “Is This The Life We Really Want?”, and the large-scale North American tour “US + THEM TOUR 2017” will start on May 26th. Of the three performances held in June, the third day of the show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on June 27th will be recorded in full for 135 minutes from a high-quality digital audience master. The roars from far away in the venue are reproduced beautifully, and the huge, spectacular sound is truly overwhelming. And as has been praised in various quarters, the show was a series of breathtaking spectacles, and the huge video production that took over from the previous year’s show was fully incorporated, making it the most cutting-edge entertainment of our time. Highlights include the huge Battersea Power Station that appears with a roar, and “Pigs (Three Different Ones),” which mocks President Trump. In the middle of the show, songs from the album such as “When We Were Young,” “Deja Vu,” “The Last Refugee,” and “Picture That” are also performed, showing the band’s ongoing stance. As for Floyd songs, while the previous year’s show featured the re-enactment of most of “Fire” and “Animals,” this tour also featured the performance of “Another Brick in the Wall Part 3,” which was not performed last year.
